John Reimer

John Reimer was raised in Kitchener, Ontario Canada. He is the oldest of 3 sons whose parents were the proprietors of an upholstery business. John graduated from high school in Canada and moved to the United States to attend Tabor College in Hillsboro, Kansas and later transferred to Omaha, Nebraska to continue his education. In 1969 he received his B.A. in Christian Education from Grace University.

In 1966 John married Linda Basinger of Pandora, Ohio. They currently reside in Omaha, Nebraska where they have 4 adult children ( 3 are married ) and 1 grandchild.

Upon graduation in 1969 John joined the staff of Omaha Youth for Christ where he pioneered the "Youth Guidance" ministry involving youth referred from the juvenile courts from a 3 county area. John was appointed Executive Director of Greater Omaha Youth for Christ and served in that capacity until 1982. During those years the program grew from 1 person to a 7 staff organization and impacted countless youth with the gospel of Jesus Christ through weekly Campus Life and Youth Guidance meetings.

In 1982 John joined the ranks of the business world where among other things he gained experience as a Project Manager and then as the Human Resources Manager for a large plastics manufacturing company that extended over a 9 state area.

In 1995 John was given the opportunity to join a start up business in telecommunications. The company prospered and in 1999 it was offered a buy-out from a large telecommunication company in Atlanta, Georgia.

In 1999 John joined the staff of CBMC, USA. He currently serves as the CBMC Metro Director of the Heartland. John's passion is to minister to the business and professional community with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

John grew up in a Christian home but it wasn't until the summer of 1965 and after the death of a very close friend that he took serious the claims of Jesus Christ. It came while sitting in the front pew of the church where the funeral service was held that he pondered the questions of life and death and God and eternity. It became apparent to John that it could very easily have been him in the casket at the front of the church instead of his friend, the thought terrified him. He knew that he had to accept the claims of Christ for assurance of salvation. He knew that he had lived a reckless life style and so he prayed for forgivness and trusted in Jesus for salvation. He believes that Jesus came to earth as the Son of God and died on the cross for the redemption of sins and rose again, thereby declaring victory over death and is currently seated at the right hand of the Father in heaven. Based upon this belief and his acceptance of Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior John has the assurance of eternal life and knows for certain that when he dies he will be in heaven and in the presence of Almighty God.
